A couple of months ago we bought to you a news, where a friend of Katrina complained that Salman never watches any of Kat’s movies while she watches his every movie.So when Salman was asked about the same in a recent interview, Salman says, “Yes I don’t. Once I saw she was wearing a really small skirt and I didn’t like it. But then you have to sometimes chill and let it go. And I don’t have a choice, and it’s better to stay away from those things. I mean I see the promos and get an idea of what is going to be in the film, so it’s better to stay away from that.”Quiz him, whether he advises Katrina on her career, she says, “No, she’s a grown up girl. Initially I did, but after that you have to let them go. She’s good at making her own decision about choosing films and what to do. Earlier she used ask me check a couple of her scenes because of her dubbing but now I don’t do that. I don’t even go to any of her sets because there was this whole reputation that I land up on my girlfriend’s sets. Kareena turning nostalgic about Independence Day says, “As a child, she would hold elder sis Karisma Kapoor’s hand and toddle off to the RK Studios in Chembur in Mumbai where grandfather Raj Kapoor had a ceremony every Independence Day for the children in the family. Holi, rang barse and bhang, Rajji had for the elders! Then, when Karisma entered Bollywood and the sisters stayed with their mother in Lokhandwala, as a girl of nine or ten she used to attend the housing society’s Independence Day functions. But for the last five years, now, she has been out of the country on August 15. Bollywood superstar SRK, who has a wide following in US, was detained yesterday at Newark Airport because his surname Khan was on immigration authorities suspicion list.SRK on his way to attend a South Asian event in US on the eve of Independence day was not even allowed to make a phone call. SRK says, “The US has developed religious paranoia over the years. My guard was also denied a visa because he has the same last name as mine. They said I can’t use my phone.” “I was really hassled at the American Airport because of my name being Khan…The couple of hours of interrogation wanting to know if I know anyone in America while all around people were vouching for me from India and Pakistan (sic).” “I told them I was a movie star and had recently visited the country for the shooting of my film. Nothing seemed to convince the immigration officer. There were other immigration officers who even vouched for me but this particular officer did not listen to anyone. I even told them I had an invitation from the South Asian community and was there to attend an event.’’ “Only these guys just would not let me through. Finally they allowed me to make a call, which I did and the Indian Consulate helped me through. “It was absolutely was uncalled for I think, me having just finished working there for more than a month…just a couple of weeks ago. Composer duo Sajid Wajid have made the Bollywood superstar sing the song 'Most Wanted Track' in Boney Kapoor's Wanted. Katrina Kaif seems to be on an experimenting spree when it comes to her on-screen wardrobe. After donning a casual college girl look in New York, the actor will be seen in an Amrapali-like avatar in Priyadarshan’s De Dana Dan. Katrina Kaif, who’s currently in London to spend time with her family, has just finished shooting for a song Main baarish kardoon paiso ki for the Venus production at Mehboob Studios in Mumbai. Choreographed by Ganesh Hegde, the track composed by Pritam is an energetic, fun and contemporary number that sees Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar undergoing three or four costume changes, according to producer Ratan Jain. The song also features the other lead actors– Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Sameera Reddy and Neha Dhupia in contemporary costumes.Talking about Katrina’s look in the song over an email from London, designer Rocky S, says, “The brief given to me about the song in order to design Katrina’s look was that it was energetic, fun and contemporary. Since we wanted a retro-ethnic look, I felt it could be well-achieved through an Amrapali look, adorned with traditional jewellery like baju bandhs and mukuts.” Commenting on whether Katrina, who’s never donned an ethnic Indian grab before, had any apprehensions about the look, Rocky clarifies, “There were no apprehensions whatsoever from Katrina or the director once we discussed the idea. In fact, Katrina was a great sport and felt quite confident with the experimentation of outfits. The transition from the retro-look to an ultra-glam diva ensemble and eventually a new-age hip-hop artiste was pulled off by Katrina with much aplomb.” As for the rest of the film, Katrina has a fresh, clean and young persona in the film with a couple of saris as well, according to the designer. .
